
The Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA) is an independent entity that carries out its mandate with the guidance of its Board of Directors. It reports to the Cabinet.
The authority was established as part of Bahrain's National Education Reform Project, which aims to improve educational services and vocational training standards aligned with the country's Economic Vision 2030.
Since 2008, the organization has conducted quality assurance activities including performance standard-setting and objective institutional reviews. The authority administers national examinations in core subjects (Arabic, English, Mathematics, Science) and established the National Qualifications Framework through Royal Decree No. 83 of 2012.
